GOALS
This site and the resources around it are to bring much needed attention to the village and let every citizens voice be heard in a transparent way. Gone are the days where citizens need to email, phone or spend hours getting support. VilliageofFonda.Com will be your gateway to representation.
SAFETY
Job one for our town is to promote safety for the citizens and merchants. We will do this with radical technology that will elevate our village to the national spot light and bring needed resources.
VOICE
For years many residents didn't feel heard. Systems were in place that were not modern and limited who could have a voice and not. Those days are done.
TRANSPARENCY
We live in an age of transparency and accountability. This site will serve as the public window into the residents, merchants and former residents and their families globally.
Downtown Revitalization Initiative and NY Forward
NY’s downtowns are the heart and soul of our regions. Utilizing the Department of State’s plan-then-act strategy, the synergy between the DRI and NY Forward connects the renaissance of magnet cities with the revitalization of smaller downtowns – creating greater opportunities for New York residents, businesses, and visitors.
WHATS THE PURPOSE?
HISTORY
This site serves as an interactive guide to the history of the VIllage of Fonda. To create a sense of pride in our village.
CHALLENGES
The village is plagued with problems. From an unresponsive local government to a history of mismanagement that has allowed the village to devolve and drive away families. We need to make our challenges, interactions and attempts to save our village visible.
EMERGENCY
The world is becoming less stable. Knowing where to call for natural disasters and other emergencies is essential.
SPEED KILLS
The village of Fonda has speed limits from 20 to 30 miles per hour within a three mile stretch of road with the town of Mohawk bringing speeds of 50 plus into our village. The combination of trucks, cars and carriages make our roads a unique place.
